A month ago I found a Model 19 set for $2000 and I was really tempted.

When AR3 and Rogers 3/5 is $2000 , isn't it too cheap?

I believe Altec is certainly one of the best speaker in the whole audio history. These days I am amazed by the huge sound stage that Altec makes when I listen symphonies. And the clarity of piano touch is just unbelivably live. The vocal..ohh, you don't need to mention about it. Even strings. (there are opinions that Altec doesn't go with classical music but I am very happy with my 604 and classical music)

BTW when my wife say "you are the best!" I read that I did something good to her not I am the best man in the world.
